Jane Rogers

Jane writes novels, radio drama and short stories, and teaches writing at every level. She’s published 10 novels and 2 collections of stories. Her fiction has been long-listed for the Man-Booker prize, and she has won the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Writers Guild Best Novel Award, and the Somerset Maugham Award. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Scripts include the BAFTA nominated BBC adaptation of her own novel, Mr Wroe’s Virgins, and the BBC Audio Awards Commended Classic Serial adaptation of The Chrysalids. Her most recent collection of stories, Fire-Ready, was published December 2024.
